IVTECH´s RCMD Receives Customer Approval for Next-Generation Data Centers

Following an intensive co-development program with a global leading AIDC power infrastructure player, IVTECH is proud to announce that its innovative RCMD (Residual Current Monitoring Device) has successfully achieved official customer approval.


As a result, IVTECH´s RCMD sensor has been selected to protect the power distribution systems of next-generation HVDC data centers against leakage currents - an increasingly important challenge as data center power architectures continue to evolve.


Undetected leakage currents can lead to significant operational and safety risks, including:


Reduced equipment reliability through accelerated insulation degradation, potentially causing failures in servers, PDUs, UPS systems, and other critical infrastructure.

Increased fire risk due to localized overheating and the formation of hot spots.

Unplanned service interruptions caused by ground loops that can trigger unnecessary protection trips.


IVTECH´s RCMD features a digital communication interface that enables continuous real-time monitoring, accurate fault localization, and seamless integration into modern data center management systems.


By detecting leakage currents at the microampere level before they develop into critical failures, the RCMD helps operators improve system availability, minimize unplanned downtime, protect valuable assets, and ensure compliance with international safety standards.
